Help support your community by remotely caring for those that remain at risk, isolated and locked-down after general social distancing guidance is relaxed. Help the digitally disconnected, those with poor technology literacy or without access to the internet.
With the consent of users, data generated by the application will be anonymised and made available for medical research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19. Individuals can opt out of sharing their data.

Helps to provide reassurance to the most isolated and vulnerable members of society who may not have access to digital health technologies.
CVm-Health builds on Sensyne’s existing experience in developing validated remote patient monitoring applications such as its award-winning diabetes in pregnancy app GDm-Health™ and the vital signs monitoring system, SEND™.
CVm-Health is a free, easy to use application developed to be used remotely as a coronavirus health monitor by the general public. It provides a secure way for people self-isolating at home, sick or well, to monitor their vital signs, coronavirus symptoms and general health.
A unique aspect of CVm-Health is the ability to record someone else’s symptoms and vital signs, not just the person who is the registered user of the app, meaning everyone can help a family member, loved one or a neighbour, monitor their health during the pandemic.
People can volunteer, from their laptop on their sofa or at a safe distance in their neighbourhood to help look after those most vulnerable and in most need of care in society. In the near future, it will be possible for the health information from these vulnerable individuals to be made easy to review and assess, if they need assistance from healthcare professionals.
And in the long run, the data on the app can help clinicians and medical scientists better understand the disease and mitigate its effects.
The app will allow you to safely monitor your vital signs and symptoms from the comfort of your own home supporting the UK governments guidelines for social distancing and reducing visits to hospitals/GP surgeries.
In addition, you will be able to monitor vital signs and symptoms on behalf of a loved one, family member or neighbour providing reassurance and support to them during the pandemic.
If you have the virus, you will be able to understand whether you are improving or deteriorating.
Upon registration, you are asked to answer a few general health questions to create your personal profile. Details that you’ll need to fill in include date of birth, postcode, comorbidities, other risk factors and medication that you might be currently taking (or have previously taken).
You will also be able to register someone else in the app and will be asked to enter the same details on their behalf.
You will then be prompted to record any COVID-19 symptoms (applicable if ill) including your temperature. Once you’ve recorded any symptoms you will be asked to record medications, enter vital sign readings and your COVID-19 status.
Even if you are well, we recommend to log in to the app daily to document your good health, and if ill, to record your symptoms and vital signs.
This monitoring tool can record vital signs including: temperature, blood pressure, O2 saturation and heart rate. It can also record symptoms including: cough, fever, breathing difficulties, reduced activity levels, fatigue, and loss of smell/taste.
In the future, we plan to link personal profiles to electronic patient records (EPR) which will allow clinicians to have a better view of a patient’s overall health condition and provide advice around treatment based on previous illnesses/ medications.
Unlike some coronavirus health apps, CVm-Health users do not need to download an app from the Apple and Google Play stores, but can access the app via any web browser using smartphone, tablet device or PC at www.cvm-health.com
Users will need to be connected to the internet in order to have access to the application.

Individuals using the app will be able to control whether or not data is shared with third party healthcare professionals or pharmaceutical researchers. For individuals that do grant access, their data will be anonymised before being made available for medical or pharmaceutical research. CVm-Health does not record an individual’s location or track people in any way and no identifiable patient data is shared with any entity.
"Anonymous information" is defined in Recital 26 of the GDPR which defines the principles of data protection that should apply to any information concerning an identified or identifiable natural person. "Anonymisation" refers to the process of removing personal identifiers (directly and indirectly) that may lead to an individual being identified from that information or combined together with other information.
The app provides a secure way for individuals and families, sick or well, to monitor and support the management of their health for any COVID-19 related symptoms. It is hoped the provision of the app will encourage individuals to ‘be a good neighbour’ by helping the digitally disconnected monitor their health, (i.e. those with poor technology literacy or without access to the internet).
It is intended that the data on the app will be used to help clinicians and medical scientists better understand the disease and to speed up the development of medicines. All data will be anonymised before being shared for medical or pharmaceutical research.
