We have an innovative approach; combining the expertise of machine learning researchers, health informaticians, clinicians and biologist to create an interdisciplinary team focussed on the whole problem rather than fragments of it, where people pool their experience and create technology-led solutions to complex clinical challenges.
Critically, this multidisciplinary approach is clinically led. By combining a deep understanding of clinical practice and medical science with established and novel AI methods we make sense of huge quantities of patient data.
Our team includes some of the best talent around the world from top educational, research and commercial organisations with published papers in eminent scientific journals and a passion for pushing the boundaries of scientific and medical discovery.
Everyone in the Discovery Sciences team is here because they are motivated to realise the potential of medical innovation to benefit patients. We look after each other and operate a flat structure, where everyone listens, and everyone contributes.
Using complex data combined with machine learning these are some of the questions we are trying to answer:
How can we design better clinical trials?
How can we understand disease more deeply and characterise different types of disease?
How can we advance patient stratification and find patient subgroups?
How can we improve disease prediction and detection?
1. An informal phone call with our talent team
No push, no pressure, no sell. Transparent conversations about what we do and how you might help.
2. Video call
Talk in depth technically and culturally with our team. We set coding or data science quizzes (when appropriate) prior to the call to see how you create solutions to complex problems. We love discussing different ways of overcoming challenge.
3. Time with the team
Come meet us face to face. We'll make ourselves available to your questions about work, career progression, values and science. A chance for you to see the team at work and play.
4. Talk strategy with our leaders
A chance to hear about strategy, opportunity and career paths. Find out from our C-suite where we're headed and where a career at Sensyne might take you.
The nature of the questions we ask is different because we're clinically led. We ask the things that are actually important to doctors.
Access to real-world data from the NHS totally changes the nature of the questions you're able to ask and the speed at which you can get to answers.
We embrace exploratory research, akin to the academic world. We don’t just apply methods that already exist. We have the space to innovate and develop new methodologies and technologies to interpret complex data.
We get to work with leading experts from a diverse range of backgrounds. We're constantly learning from each other.
